We opened a physical location on 41 E. Bacon Street, Hillsdale, MI 49242, across from Coney’s and Swirls. We officially opened on April 1, 2020, but were unable to welcome the public due to the COVID-19 crisis. As you know, we service Hillsdale County, working with Region 2 Area Agency on Aging, Veteran’s Affairs, and private contracts. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am until 5:30 pm.
We are excited to now be located in downtown Hillsdale and have been working on getting the new location ready for walk-ins and visits. We have started the process of moving into our new location as Gov. Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order went into effect, making move-in a bit of a challenge. We take turns in remaining socially distant while preparing the office the best they can.
We take extra precautions following all recommendations by the CDC and the Michigan Department of Health. These precautions include checking temperatures daily, monitoring employees, clients, and families for symptoms, and using all recommended personal protective equipment. Despite these challenges, we have continued to successfully train two new additions to her staff. We work hard to ensure our staff knows they are appreciated all the time, especially during these challenging times.
Though COVID-19 has made day-to-day operations difficult, the business has not slowed down for our essential company. In fact, we have picked up more clients. We are not hesitating to go out and take care of these clients. We know how important it is for Hillsdale. One of the top priorities at ExtrOdinary Solutions is ensuring continuity of care for both new and existing clients. We are helping a lot of people right now where other businesses, who offer similar services to ours, are having temporary issues. They need it, and they appreciate what we are doing for them. It feels so good to go out there and help people.
ExtrOdinary Solutions, LLC operates with a full staff. We have a really great group of ladies and we are so lucky to have them. We are open but closed to the public, for now. We make sure to speak with our clients daily asking the COVID-19 screening questions. If our clients need to see a doctor or go to an office visit, we make sure this is a top priority. If you have a loved one that is in the area and are unable to check in on them, we can do a health check. We call this service the “ExtrOdinary Wellness Check” and offer this service as needed and requested. We can also take over after a hospital visit and can continue services such as prescription pickup, grocery shopping, giving baths, completing minor lifts, and providing personal care. We can also set up doctor’s appointments, either online or in person, drive clients to those appointments, and help clients follow the physician’s recommendations at home. We offer our services at lower rates compared to the area, with several discounts available. Contact us for details. We service Veterans, contracted clients, and private clients. We are always looking for more private clients for homecare and housekeeping.
